Porter Ranch is hiring seasonal farm workers for our busy hay and harvest season (June through September). Responsibilities include: operating hay equipment (mowing, raking, baling), loading and stacking hay bales, general farm maintenance, assisting with vegetable harvest, livestock care and feeding. We are looking for reliable, hard-working individuals who enjoy outdoor work and can handle physically demanding tasks. Prior farm experience preferred but will train the right candidates. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in various weather conditions. Schedule is Monday-Saturday, approximately 45-50 hours per week during peak season. Barn-stored in our climate-controlled facility at 9,000 feet elevation - stays cool and dry year-round. Each bale weighs approximately 55-60 lbs. We have 340 bales available from this year's harvest. Test results available showing 14.5% protein. Great for easy keepers or horses in light work.
Horse Quality Timothy Hay - Large Round Bales
Premium timothy grass hay in large round bales, approximately 800-900 lbs each. Second cutting with soft, leafy texture ideal for horses. Low sugar content makes it excellent for metabolic horses or those prone to founder. Net-wrapped and stored under cover since July 2025 harvest. Our timothy fields are certified weed-free and we never spray herbicides. Perfect for horse owners who want consistent, clean hay. Loading available with appointment.
