Spring Farm Tour & Sustainable Agriculture Workshop
Join us for our annual Spring Farm Tour and learn about sustainable, organic farming practices! This educational event includes: guided tour of our 100-acre diversified farm, hands-on demonstrations of composting and soil health management, meet our heritage breed livestock, tour our certified organic vegetable gardens and orchard, Q&A session about transitioning to organic farming. Perfect for aspiring farmers, gardening enthusiasts, and families wanting to learn where their food comes from. Light refreshments provided. Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Children welcome with adult supervision. Free event, but registration required for headcount. Tours run every hour from 10am-2pm.
Beekeeping 101 Workshop - Hands-On Learning
Comprehensive beginner beekeeping workshop taught by master beekeeper Jim Hanson with 30+ years experience. This 4-hour workshop covers everything you need to know to start your first hive: bee biology and behavior, equipment needed and costs, hive placement and setup, seasonal management, common problems and solutions, and honey harvesting. Includes hands-on hive inspection (weather permitting) with provided protective gear. Take home a comprehensive resource guide. Limited to 12 participants for personalized instruction. Workshops held monthly, April through September. Perfect for anyone considering beekeeping or new beekeepers wanting to deepen their knowledge.
Mountain Pine Christmas Tree Farm - Choose & Cut
A Colorado Christmas tradition since 1985! Choose and cut your own Christmas tree at our family farm in scenic Estes Park. We grow Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Blue Spruce, and Concolor Fir in sizes from 4 feet to 12 feet. Prices based on tree size: 4-5ft $45, 6-7ft $65, 8-9ft $85, 10ft+ $100+. Saws provided or bring your own. Free tree shaking and baling. Warm up with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies. Visit Santa on weekends! Hayrides, gift shop, and fresh wreaths available. Greeley Farmers Market - Every Saturday
Join us every Saturday morning at the Greeley Farmers Market! Open 8am-1pm at Lincoln Park in downtown Greeley. Find the freshest local produce, farm-fresh eggs, artisan baked goods, local honey, handmade crafts, and more. Over 40 vendors each week featuring the best of Weld County agriculture. Live music, food trucks, and family-friendly atmosphere. Free parking and admission. Vendor applications accepted - contact market manager for booth information. Rain or shine, we'll be here! Porter Ranch Farm Tour & Open House
Come visit our sustainable family farm in Fort Collins! Free guided tours every second Saturday of the month, 10am-2pm. See our heritage breed livestock, organic vegetable gardens, and learn about regenerative agriculture practices. Perfect for families, homeschool groups, and anyone curious about where their food comes from. Tour includes visits to our chicken coop, goat barn, market garden, and composting operation. Kids can help collect eggs and feed the animals! Small farm store open during tours with fresh eggs, produce, and handmade goods. RSVPs appreciated but not required. Farm dogs on premises - leave pets at home please.
