Experienced Tractor Operator - Seasonal
Large grain farm in Sterling seeking experienced tractor operator for spring planting and fall harvest seasons. Must have experience operating modern tractors with GPS guidance systems, planters, grain carts, and combines. We farm 5,000+ acres of wheat, corn, and sunflowers. Seasonal position runs approximately mid-April through June and September through November. Compensation: $25-30/hour based on experience, plus harvest bonus. Long hours during peak season (10-14 hour days, 6-7 days/week). Housing available for non-local candidates. Must have valid driver's license and be able to pass drug screen. Growing diversified farm seeking reliable farm hand for full-time position. Duties include daily livestock feeding and care (cattle, goats, chickens), fence maintenance and repair, equipment operation, hay handling, garden work, and general property maintenance. Previous agricultural experience strongly preferred. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Physical job requiring ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly. Valid driver's license required. Position includes small cabin on property in addition to competitive hourly wage ($18-22/hr based on experience). Health insurance contribution available after 90 days. This is a year-round position, not seasonal. Drug test required.
